How long has the St. Johns County Audubon Society been around?

We were originally incorporated in 1979 and officially called St. Johns County Audubon Society. You may also hear us referred to as St. Johns Audubon.

How do I join?

Apply for membership online by completing the form and mailing a check to:

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept personal checks made payable to St. Johns County Audubon Society

If I belong to National Audubon, do my dues apply to your chapter?

A portion of the dues will go to the our chapter and can be assigned by zip code or special request. Membership in National Audubon allows participation with our chapter at no additional fee. If you choose to apply with National Audubon for membership, please let them know you'd like to register under chapter 'E15', which will give proper credit to St. Johns County Audubon Society.

How often do you have meetings?

We have monthly meetings from September - May.

Where are your meetings typically located?

Unless otherwise noted, our meetings are held at the St. Johns County Library Main Branch - 1960 Ponce de Leon Blvd., St. Augustine.

What is the frequency of field trips?

Scheduled trips are once per month, occasionally more often.

How are board members elected?  How long are the terms?

Board members are elected to serve for two years; Officers serve for a one year term with elections held in January.

What ongoing volunteer opportunities are available?

Florida Birding/Nature Festival, Eagle Watch, and more on the way. We also have Conservation, Publicity, Field Trips, Programs, Hospitality, Education, Membership and Newsletter -  and a few more sub-committees which members are welcome to volunteer for.
